I’m hosting a pelvic wellness series of monthly workshops starting this Saturday at the Holland Aquatic Center. I’m Starting it off with pelvic wellness 101.

Pelvic health 101 is coming to the Holland Aquatic Center on Saturday, September 12, and it’s the first of three workshops I’m teaching there this fall.

10:30 to 11:30 in the morning. No equipment. Nothing to change into.

Here’s what we cover:

- Your breath, which is the first thing I look at with anybody.

- Your posture, because your pelvic floor has never worked alone.

- Your core, and how to actually find it.

- Bladder and bowel habits, and a few myths I’ll be knocking over on the way through.

Then we take all of it into the parts of your day nobody teaches. How you sit on the toilet. How you lift. How you exercise. What your body is doing at 2pm after holding tension since breakfast.

Most people are never taught any of this.

You don’t have to plan your day around where the bathrooms are.

You don’t have to pack a pad for the gym.

You don’t have to treat leaking as the toll for having had kids or for having an aging body.

This one is genuinely for everybody. Ages 16 and up, all genders. Yes, that includes the men reading this. Prostate health is on the agenda.

Pain-free. Leak-free. Feeling your absolute best.

That’s the whole point of the hour.
